Since 2010, the GRASS Group's international environmental management system has been certified according to ISO 14001. GRASS's strong environmental commitment and dedicated projects dating back many years are entirely rooted in our love of nature. CO₂ reduction: 636 tonnes per year. Measures to increase energy efficiency have led to savings of 2.8 million kWh per year. Translated into CO₂, this represents a reduction of 636.5 tonnes per year. Recycling of steel waste: 6,000 tonnes per year. 100 % of steel waste generated during production is recycled. Reduction of heat demand through heat recovery. Compressor and exhaust gas heat exchange systems with a total output of over 3,000 kW also improve our carbon footprint. Electricity savings: 18 % reduction in electricity use. Reduction in overall electricity demand from 62 million kWh to 51 million kWh per year in recent years. 50 % reduction in waste: 756 tonnes per year.
